Jan Kaczmarczyk specializes in corporate and commercial law, as well as in the wide range of issues relating to aviation law. His practice is focused mainly on Polish and international transactions in the field of mergers and acquisitions, privatizations, private equity transactions, including asset deals and restructuring processes.
Jan Kaczmarczyk advises clients operating in the industry of new technologies, including investments in start-up companies, representing founders, business angels as well as VC and PE investment funds, in all aspects related to the preparation, financing, and operational issues pertaining to start-ups. He also has many years of experience in the defense sector, particularly concerning issues related to supply contracts and offset agreements concluded with the State Treasury of the Republic of Poland.
In addition to the transactional practice, he also deals on a daily basis with corporate issues, and supports his clients in preparation, negotiation and executing various contracts. He translated from English to Polish two books dealing with contractual matters: „Working with Contracts: What Law School Doesn’t Teach You” by prof. Charles M. Fox and „Writing and Drafting in Legal Practice” by Paul Rylance.
Jan Kaczmarczyk is a Member of the Board of the Parachute Association “Spadochronowy Klub Sportowy Sky Camp”.
Before joining KOLS, Jan Kaczmarczyk gained experience as a partner of Kochański Zięba and Partners law firm, as well as in the Warsaw office of the international law firm K&L Gates, and earlier in the leading international law firm – Hogan & Hartson.
